What is BRM treatment?
Biological Response Modifiers (BRMs) are compounds that are used to treat cancer by virtue of alteration of augmentation of naturally occurring processes within the body. Our treatment regimen makes use of BRMs to enhance the activity of the the body’s immune system and natural defense mechanisms against cancer cells. BRMs decrease and halt the growth of cancer cells by inhibiting telomerase activity, which plays an important part in cell division. By inhibiting the activity of telomerase within cancer cells, BRMs thus inhibit cancer cell growth.
What is the mechanism by which BRMs achieve reduction in cancer growth?
Our BRM treatment targets and prompts cancer cells to undergo apoptosis, or programmed cell death. In turn, the patient’s immune system responses are enhanced so that the body’s ability to fight cancer cell growth is increased.
The body’s immune system is mainly consisted of white blood cells, or leukocytes. There are several different types of white blood cells and each type has a specific function within the immune system. Therefore, the immune response that occurs when normal cells become infected or damaged is the result of interactions amongst these different types white blood cells. When the immune system recognizes an object or cell as ‘foreign’ or infected, a cascade of events occurs that ultimately leads to the destruction and removal of the ‘foreign’ or infected cell(s). This cascade is made possible by messenger molecules produced by the white blood cells, namely cytokines.
Cytokines are secreted proteins (produced primarily by cells of the immune system) that facilitate communication amongst different cell types. Different cytokines elicit different responses, and they are the main players in the activation, modulation and inhibition of immune responses. In essence, BRMs act in the same ways as cytokines in controlling our body’s immune responses, specifically targeting cancer cells.
By inhibiting telomerase activity, BRMs prompt cancer cells to undergo programmed cell death. Research has shown that telomerase can protect cancer cells from genomic instability and other forms of cellular stress, suggesting that inhibiting telomerase can cause a more rapid suppression of tumor growth. This inhibition is the main mechanism by which our BRM treatment triggers its anti-cancer properties.
In addition, BRM treatment can also be used to lessen certain side effects that may be caused by standard anti-cancer treatment methods such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Is BRM treatment safe? What are the side effects?
Our BRM treatment has been administered to more than 42,000 clinical patients since 1987 and has been proven to be absolutely safe. Our treatment is licensed and approved by the State Food and Drug Administration of China. BRM has been widely distributed within China since 2006.
Unlike chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and other standard methods of anti-cancer treatment, BRM treatment causes no toxicity or associated side effects such as nausea, decreased appetite, and hair loss, if the treatment regimen is followed as prescribed.
In addition, our clinical studies have shown that BRM treatment is effective in reducing pain caused by cancer and reducing the side effects caused by chemotherapy.
What types Of cancer can BRM treatment effectively treat?
BRM is effective in treating adenocarcinomas and squamous cell carcinomas such as:
- Liver cancer
- Lung cancer
- Breast cancer
- Colon cancer
- Stomach cancer
- Intestinal cancer
- Rectal Cancer
- Pancreatic cancer
- Kidney cancer

How is BRM treatment administered?
BRM treatment is administered to our patients in capsule form through oral ingestion.
